We started S’wheat in 2018 with a mission to reduce the world’s single use plastic bottle pollution. We wanted to create an innovative reusable bottle that was designed with sustainability and practicality in mind.

After years of researching, planning, and adapting, Founders Amee and Jake crafted a revolutionary new plant-based material.

The outcome? They created the world’s first reusable water bottle made from plants.

Designed in Scotland inspired by the diverse Scottish mountain ranges, mist-filled lochs and ancient forests and using natural wheat straw to create a bottle that is practical, functional and great for the planet.

S’wheat is not only made from plant-based materials but also gives back to the environment, every bottle sold takes the equivalent of 20 lbs of plastic out of the ocean. It is the first reusable plant-based water bottle in the world. Developed from compostable wheat straw and bamboo bio-plastic that is grown, made, and manufactured using waste materials in a natural and sustainable manner.

Melamine, toxic chemicals, and BPA are not present in S’wheat’s patented material. We use the most sustainable and safe processes possible to create our certified plant-based products. We use naturally grown plant materials that would have otherwise been burnt or discarded

S’wheat also donates a % of its profits to help protect wildlife and sea life all around the world. S’wheat aims to disrupt the single-use product industry by showing a cleaner and safer alternative to traditional means.

S’wheat started from humble beginnings, launching via a crowdfunding campaign. The response from this campaign was amazing, raising over 230% more than the original goal in just 30 days. Since then S’wheat has become a global brand and is now helping large organisations such as banks and universities etc to make the switch from single use plastic to reusables through co-branding of the S’wheat bottle.

Engaging the Circular Economy from production to distribution S’wheat’s sustainable reusable water bottle maximises renewable resource and energy usage. The S’wheat Bottle uses 95% less energy than stainless steel reusable bottles.
