Pheona Matovu

Co-founder of the award-winning social enterprise Radiant and Brighter Community Interest Company

Pheona Matovu is the co-founder of the award-winning social enterprise Radiant and Brighter Community Interest Company, a leading voice on culture, ethnic diversity and inclusion. Radiant and Brighter work with organisations and their leadership across Scotland, to reflect and review their systems, structures and policies. The organisation has developed diversity training, Inclusion. Antiracism and Intercultural competence programs working with public, private and third sector organisations. 

Pheona is a Women’s Enterprise Scotland role model Ambassador and a board member at the Productivity Institute. She has experience that spans over a decade working within migration and ethnic diversity. She is also an associate director for Common Purpose and is involved in structural change work with several steering groups in Scotland. 

She dedicates her time to working for change and is passionate about women’s contribution to society, access to opportunities, entrepreneurship, business for good, ethnic diversity, family, community development, poverty alleviation, informal education, children and young people, and economic empowerment. 

Her passion and desire for change has been strongly articulated in several blogs, speaking engagements and articles including for The Herald and Scotland’s Centre for Regional Inclusive Growth.
