Dr. Marsha Scott is a feminist activist, researcher and practitioner and has advocated, volunteered, researched, and worked in gender and violence against women sectors in Europe, the United Kingdom, and the United States for 30+ years. Scott is CEO at Scottish Women’s Aid, and is a complete geek about making the world better for children and women.

The circle

The NACWG is supported by the Circle, a wider group of individuals, allies and organisations including women and girls and all people, regardless of their gender, who are supportive of the #GenerationEqual movement. With its continually growing membership, The Circle have been involved with the NACWG from the beginning.

NACWG Phase One

In 2016, The Scottish Government pledged to establish NACWG, to help drive forward action to tackle gender inequality. The objectives are to play a leading role in raising awareness of gender inequality in Scotland, act as a champion for positive progress and policies that are making a meaningful difference to the lives of women and girls & be a catalyst for change.
