Council member

Jill is Policy Manager at Engender, Scotland’s feminist policy and advocacy organisation working on women’s social, economic, and political equality in Scotland. She leads on research and policy development for the organisation, including in recent years on social security, women’s human rights, gender mainstreaming, housing and homelessness, reproductive health, and political representation.

Jill previously worked in policy for an international development organisation, and in the Trade Policy Unit at DFID. Currently a Mum of three small children on the Isle of Eigg, Jill’s former commitments include board/management committee membership of The Poverty Alliance, Basic Income Network Scotland and Unity Women’s Project.
